Recently, the senior staff at DCE have been employed to help review Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) data before and after areas have been subject to PCR and RIC compaction/ ground improvement in order to assess the depth of improvement against the assumptions made by Ramboll and Powerbetter. We aim to correlate relative density and angle of internal friction to 2.2m below formation (which is estimated to be 0.3m below current ground level) in PCR compacted areas and to 4.2 below formation (which is estimated to be 0.3m below current ground level) in RIC treated areas. Thus, a geotechnical report will be the end product.
